Welcome to
the ESARDA library / Reference center
The ESARDA library aims to provide the user with information
about safeguards. It is structured in such a way that newcomers,
as well as experienced experts can access it easily and find
the requested information rapidly.
First, you will find texts of the main Treaties
that are regulating the Safeguards activities. It will be
followed by a collection of national laws (today under construction).
A safeguards glossary
was drafted to explain, in a few words, the essentials of
the terms used in the fields. For a newcomer to safeguards,
a clear and simplified explanation will indeed be preferred
to an exact in-depth definition and explanation which would
be reserved for the specialist; so that newcomer can understand
the terms without having to study the meaning in minute detail.
A link to the IAEA Glossary is provided.
The technical
sheets are more detailed and their objective
is to explain in a few pages the basic concepts of various
techniques used in safeguards. They also intend to give some
application cases as well as some references. This section
is dedicated to a more advanced audience in the field of safeguards.
ESARDA has launched an initiative called Modules
of courses. It aims at establishment of didactical
material by safeguards specialists and university lecturers.
The objective is to format the existing knowledge and put
it at disposal of universities and high level education institutions
that have nuclear engineering education.
In Books,
publications and reports you will find a selection
of key publications.
"Data Base
ESARDA" is a new data base of all material
ever published by ESARDA. You will find articles from bulletins
and proceedings of the ESARDA workshops and annual meetings
since the beginning of the activity of the association.
